A new website for Camp John Marc

Camp John MarcEvery so often a project comes along that is so inspiring and so meaningful, that we wish we could do it for free.

This one has been a long time coming. A few years ago a CJM Board Member told us about its mission and their need for a new website. Their current site is “static”, hard to update, and hasn’t really changed much in about 12 years. Of course the site served its purpose for quite a while, but the organization’s needs have outgrown their current site capabilities.

It’s an amazing organization. And thanks to the talents of Karen Gilmore (wife of CJM Executive Director, Vance Gilmore) we have a huge vault of wonderful, high-quality photos to use throughout the site. Other features will include an interactive map, a camp calendar, and a brand new donation module.

Normally a project of this size would easily require a timeline 12-16 weeks to complete. But while we began the project just last week, we just learned that the site needs to launch in time for the kick off of CJM’s annual Campership Campaign which begins toward the end of March–barely 8 weeks away!

Brew the coffee — and make it strong! Normally we don’t get quite so worked up about deadlines… But this time, we are on a mission.

Landry’s in the house

That’s right. One of our favorite clients has signed up for more of our shiny goodness. We’ll be designing the new website for Landry’s famed Chart House restaurant, with locations in Texas, Colorado, and dozens more all along the east and west coasts.

The new site promises to be made from only the freshest ingredients and completely mobile friendly. We’re excited to add this new project to our ever-growing menu.

Valiant Media launches website for renowned American painter John Paulus Semple

Artist John Paulus Semple of rural Vermont is finally getting a website. As one of the last working “renaissance artists”, he’s always been resistant to the use of technology in art. In this digital age, his work remains uniquely and refreshingly analog.

Upon launch of the site, we received the following very kind note from the artist himself:

Dear [Valiant],

Mallory and I wanted you to know how delighted we are with the website you created. You have really “caught” what I am all about as very few people do in this modern art world.

We are deeply indebted to [my son] John, too, for finding you to make the superb website.

Our sincere thanks and gratitude,

John Semple
